Russia attacks Ukraine with 29 missiles and 480 drones, hits recorded at 22 locations

Russian forces conducted a combined attack on Ukraine's critical infrastructure facilities on the night of 6-7 March. Ukraine's Air Force recorded 509 aerial attack assets, of which 472 were shot down or jammed.

Details: In particular, Russia launched the following against Ukraine:

  • 2 Zircon hypersonic missiles (0 shot down or jammed)
  • 13 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (8 shot down or jammed)
  • 14 Kalibr cruise missiles (11 shot down or jammed)
  • 480 UAVs (453 shot down or jammed)

Hits from nine missiles and 26 attack UAVs were recorded at 22 locations. Drone debris also fell at five locations.

The Air Force noted that the main directions of the attack were the cities of Kyiv and Kharkiv, as well as Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi oblasts.

Background: On the night of 6-7 March, Russian forces struck a high-rise residential building in Kharkiv with a ballistic missile. Seven people were killed, and at least ten others were injured.
