Details: US digital news outlet Axios reported earlier that last year, the United States supposedly turned down a Ukrainian proposal to share technology for intercepting Iranian drones and has since realised it made a mistake.
Zelenskyy said he does not believe the United States rejected the proposal.
Quote: "We did propose it to the United States, yes, and for us it is a priority, it is a strategic partner. We proposed the Drone Deal. It indeed includes all our relevant drones and our technologies."
More details: Zelenskyy said Ukraine is now sharing this expertise with countries in the Middle East, while last year's broader proposal was made exclusively to the United States.
Quote: "I do not know whether they rejected it, I am not sure. But it is definitely a postponement and we have not signed the Drone Deal yet, but we are open. I would very much like to sign this agreement with the president of the United States. It is also very good for our companies."
Background: Zelenskyy said on 5 March that Ukraine had received a US request for support in defending against Shahed loitering munitions Iran is using against countries in the Middle East.
