From 200 to 300 people evacuate from Druzhkivka in Donetsk Oblast every day

Donetsk Oblast Military Administration has reported that between 200 and 300 people evacuate from the city of Druzhkivka every day. Meanwhile, about 9,500 civilians still remain in the Druzhkivka hromada. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Background:

• On 6 March, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Donetsk Oblast and said that Russian forces are preparing a spring offensive there.
• He posted a video recorded near the Monument to Those in Love in Druzhkivka.
• Emergency and rescue operations were completed in Druzhkivka on 4 March after a 2 March Russian airstrike killed three people and injured 16.
