Russia hits 14 settlements in Kharkiv and region over past day: 3 killed, 16 injured

Russian forces have struck 14 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast and the city of Kharkiv over the past day. Three people have been killed and 16 injured, including a child.

Quote: "In Kharkiv, two men aged 45 and 50 were killed. Women aged 47, 50 and 60, and men aged 49, 39, 36 and 33 were injured. In Chuhuiv, a 53-year-old man was killed, and women aged 41 and 60 were injured. In Merefa, a 74-year-old and a 37-year-old woman, a 62-year-old man and a 6-year-old girl were injured."

Details: Three people were injured in other hromadas across the oblast: a 53-year-old man in the village of Lebiazhe (the Prolisne hromada), a 43-year-old man in the village of Oleksandrivka (the Zolochiv hromada), and a 72-year-old woman in the village of Hrushivka (the Kindrashivka hromada). According to Syniehubov, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with drones, striking the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts of the city.

Over the course of the day, the Russians used various types of weapons to hit Kharkiv Oblast: 8 guided aerial bombs, 13 Geran-2 drones, 4 Molniya UAVs, 6 first-person view (FPV) drones and another 15 drones whose type is being established.

Russian strikes damaged residential buildings, cars, outbuildings, agricultural machinery, a warehouse, power transmission lines and a civilian company in Kharkiv and across the oblast.

Background:

• Earlier, Kharkiv Oblast police reported that civilians, including a child, had been injured in a Russian strike on the city of Merefa.
• On the morning of 11 March, a Russian drone hit a meat-processing plant in Kharkiv, killing two people and injuring seven.
