Ukrainian general's only son killed by Russian guided bomb

It emerged on 13 March that Mykyta Dotsenko, a 24-year-old military volunteer and the only son of Ukrainian general Danylo Dotsenko, had been killed by a Russian guided bomb in Kharkiv Oblast.

Details: Poroshenko said that Mykyta had been killed by a Russian guided bomb near the city of Kupiansk.

He joined the Ukrainian military as a volunteer at the age of 22.

Quote from Poroshenko: "My condolences to the family and to the father, General Danylo Dotsenko, who buried his only son today.

I remember how Danylo had helped form volunteer units in our Transparent Office hub in February 2022. It is very difficult to realise how much we have gone through since then and how much we have lost."
