Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) conducted strikes on two military vessels belonging to Russia on the night of 13-14 March.

Details: DIU reported that the operation has disabled the Russian railway ferry Slavyanin and damaged the vessel Avangard.

Quote: "These vessels were key elements of the so-called Kerch Strait ferry line and played an important role in the aggressor's naval military logistics, particularly the transport of weapons, military equipment and ammunition.

As part of the operation, DIU special forces, working with other units from Ukraine's defence forces, also conducted strikes on infrastructure at the port of Kavkaz in Russia's Krasnodar Krai, which Russia uses to wage war against our state."

Background: The Maykop air base in Russia's Republic of Adygea as well as the Afipsky plant and the port of Kavkaz in Krasnodar Krai were also attacked on 14 March.
