Ukraine's Foreign Ministry on Iran's threats: "It's like serial killer justifying their crimes"

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has said Iran's threats against Ukraine resemble the logic of a serial killer attempting to justify their actions.
Source: Heorhii Tykhyi, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, in a comment to Ukrainska Pravda
Details: Tykhyi was responding to remarks by Ebrahim Azizi, a member of the Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy of Iran's parliament, after he claimed that Ukraine has turned its territory into a "legitimate target" for Iran by supplying interceptor drones to counter Iranian attacks on other countries.
The spokesperson reiterated that the Iranian regime has supported the killing of Ukrainians for years, directly providing Russia with drones and technology for aggression against Ukraine.
Quote: "In this context, it is absurd when representatives of this regime threaten Ukraine while referring to the right to self-defence enshrined in Article 51 of the UN Charter. It's like a serial killer trying to justify their crimes by citing the law."
More details: Tykhyi stressed that the Iranian regime must be held accountable for all its crimes against the people of Iran and other nations.
Background:
- On 13 March, President Donald Trump said the US does not need Ukraine's assistance to shoot down Iranian drones in the Middle East.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded by saying that "rhetoric is rhetoric".
