President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on the crisis in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament), saying that MPs will have to work, otherwise he is ready to initiate a review of mobilisation legislation so that they could go to the front.

Quote: "Members of parliament will either have to serve in parliament in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, or I am ready to discuss with representatives of parliament a law on changes to mobilisation so that MPs can go to the front. If you do not serve the state in parliament, then serve the state at the front. This is my approach."

Details: Another option to resolve the problem with voting in parliament would be changes to legislation and holding elections, but Zelenskyy said this is impossible during wartime.

The president also said that opposition factions often do not vote for important bills, such as those related to financial support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), unlocking €90 billion from the EU, or legislation needed for European integration.

Zelenskyy also announced a meeting with Davyd Arakhamiia, Head of the Servant of the People faction, to discuss ways to overcome the crisis in parliament.
