Trust in Zelenskyy has increased slightly compared to February

A survey has shown that as of early March, 62% of respondents trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, up 9 percentage points from February.
Source: the survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology in early March
Quote from the Institute: "As of early March, trust in V. Zelenskyy had returned to previous levels and was 62%. The level of distrust was 32%, and the balance of trust-distrust was +30%."
Details: Of the 62% who trust the president, 28% say they "fully" trust Zelenskyy, while 34% say they "somewhat" trust him.

The sociologists noted that between late January and mid-February 2026, trust in Zelenskyy had fallen noticeably from 61% to 53%, while the share of those who did not trust him had risen from 33% to 41%.
The Institute said the greatest decline in trust occurred not among specific demographic groups, but among those willing to support the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donetsk Oblast in exchange for security guarantees.
Quote: "Among those who would be willing to agree to such a demand, trust fell from 30% to 23% between late January and mid-February, a drop of 7 percentage points. Among those who would be reluctant but still agree, it fell from 58% to 43%, a decline of 15 points, and among those undecided, it dropped from 59% to 42%, a fall of 17 points. By contrast, among those who would categorically reject such a proposal, support stood at 68% in late January and 64% in mid-February, i.e. virtually unchanged."
The survey was conducted from 1 to 8 March. A total of 1,003 respondents aged 18 and over residing in government-controlled areas of Ukraine at the time of the survey were interviewed by telephone via a random sample of mobile phone numbers.
Under normal circumstances, the statistical margin of error for such a sample (with a 0.95 probability and accounting for a design effect of 1.3) does not exceed 4.1% for indicators close to 50%, 3.5% for indicators close to 25%, 2.5% for indicators close to 10%, and 1.8% for indicators close to 5%.
During wartime, additional systematic deviations may arise, but the sociologists believe the results remain highly representative and reliably reflect public sentiment.
