Ukrainian and US teams in Florida aligned approaches to advance towards results, Ukraine's chief negotiator says

The Ukrainian and US delegations in Florida have continued discussions on further steps within the negotiation process.

Details: Umierov said the Ukrainian side at the talks was represented by himself, Davyd Arakhamiia, leader of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the President's Office, and Budanov's First Deputy Serhii Kyslytsia. The American delegation included US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, White House senior adviser Josh Gruenbaum and US State Department senior policy adviser Chris Curran.

Following the first day of the meeting, a report was presented to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Background: Zelenskyy said the Ukrainian delegation held a meeting with US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on 21 March, with further talks also scheduled for 22 March.

- It was previously reported that Ukrainian and US negotiating teams would meet in Miami on Saturday 21 March for talks that would be attended by Witkoff.
- Zelenskyy outlined his expectations for the Ukrainian delegation's visit to the US, during which preparations for the next trilateral meeting would be among the topics discussed.
- He also explained that Ukraine would be represented by only a political delegation at the talks, citing the lack of "political will" to end the war. Russia is not expected to take part in these negotiations.
