Ukrainian air defence downs 121 Russian drones, strikes recorded at 18 locations

Russia attacked Ukraine with 147 strike drones on the night of 24-25 March, 121 of which were downed by air defence forces. Strikes have been recorded at 18 locations.

Details: From 19:00 on Tuesday 24 March, the Russians launched Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions and drones of other types from the Russian cities of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
More than 80 of the drones were Shahed loitering munitions.
The aerial attack is being repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.
Early reports indicate that as of 08:30, air defences had shot down or jammed 121 Russian UAVs of various types in Ukraine's north, south and east.
Hits by 24 strike drones were recorded at 18 locations, while debris from downed UAVs fell at three locations.
The Air Force warned that the attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
Background: Over the previous day, 24 March, Russia launched 948 strike drones, 906 of which were downed. The Ukrainian Air Force said it was one of the largest Russian UAV attacks.
