Russia attacks Ukraine with Iskander missile and 164 drones, 150 UAVs downed

Russia has attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 164 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones since the evening of 29 March. Air defences have managed to down 150 drones, but some strikes have been recorded.

Quote: "As of 08:30, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 150 drones. Hits by a ballistic missile and 12 UAVs had been recorded at 7 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 2 locations."

Details: The missile was launched from temporarily occupied Crimea, while the drones came from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as Cape Chauda and Hvardiiske in Crimea. About 90 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

As of the morning of 30 March, the Russian attack is still ongoing.
