Zelenskyy offers US assistance in unblocking the Strait of Hormuz
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine is ready to provide certain support for the unblocking of the Strait of Hormuz, on which the United States is working, citing Ukraine's experience in unblocking the trade route in the Black Sea.

Details: The зresident noted that during his visit to Middle Eastern countries he discussed Ukraine's potential support in unblocking the Strait of Hormuz.
Quote: "We raised this issue because it is a painful and pressing one for the entire world, as there is an energy crisis. They know they can count on our expertise in this area. We discussed this in detail, we shared the experience of the Black Sea corridor and how it functions."
Details: Zelenskyy added that his interlocutors understood that Ukraine's Armed Forces had managed to effectively unblock the trade route in the Black Sea.
The зresident stressed that the issue of the Strait of Hormuz is primarily being handled by the US and that Ukraine is ready to support these efforts if necessary.
"Regarding Hormuz. In my view, the United States of America is handling this. We are, of course, always ready to help our partners," the Ukrainian зresident stressed.
Background: G7 foreign ministers set the condition that a mission to secure navigation in the Strait of Hormuz would only be implemented if the war in the Middle East ceases.
