Details: Peskov said that Russian military officials are closely monitoring and analysing the situation and are putting forward relevant proposals.

"Of course, we believe that if airspace is being provided for hostile terrorist activities against the Russian Federation, this will oblige us to draw appropriate conclusions and take relevant measures," Peskov said.

Background:

  • On 31 March, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces stated that a fake claim was circulating online alleging that Poland's airspace had been used for Ukrainian operations against Russia.
  • Earlier, Estonia had previously dismissed as disinformation claims circulating in the Russian information space about the reasons for the appearance of Ukrainian UAVs over the Baltic states.
  • On 27 March, Latvia's Ministry of Defence, in the context of the same claims, warned of a coordinated Russian information operation against Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
