Quote: "Two weeks ago, we sent all the materials for extradition to the Office of the Prosecutor General. As far as I know, they are still awaiting the Prosecutor General's signature.

Israel is a very difficult country for extradition. In order to extradite a person, it is necessary to provide essentially all the materials of the criminal proceedings."

Details: Abakumov added that NABU had prepared and translated a large volume of evidence into the relevant language to substantiate the suspicion against Mindich and Tsukerman.

Quote: "We have submitted the materials to the Office of the Prosecutor General. I believe the Prosecutor General should sign this extradition request as soon as possible. However, there may indeed be procedures for the Office of the Prosecutor General to review the substantiation."

Details: In response to the host's remark that Israel usually does not extradite its citizens to other countries, a representative of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine said there have been cases when Israel extradited its citizen to Ukraine, and the country's legislation does not prohibit extradition, although such cases are indeed rare exceptions.

Ukrainska Pravda has asked the Office of the Prosecutor General for comment.
