Russia attacked Naftogaz oil and gas facilities 129 times during heating season

Russian forces carried out 129 attacks on facilities belonging to Naftogaz, Ukraine's largest national oil and gas company, over the 151 days of the heating season.

Details: The Russians struck pipelines, gas production sites, underground storage facilities and heating systems, Naftogaz said in a statement.

Quote: "Tens of thousands of gas workers went to work every day – under fire, in freezing temperatures, near the front line. They repaired damaged facilities and provided heating for the homes of millions of people."

Background:

• On 28 March, Russia struck three Naftogaz group production facilities in Poltava Oblast with drones.
• On 29 March, the Russians struck Naftogaz infrastructure for the fourth day in a row when they attacked facilities in Sumy Oblast.
