Quote from Zelenskyy: "Ukraine already has experience working with representatives from the Middle East and the Gulf in consultations and expertise. Meanwhile, we want to rely on those anti-ballistic systems that these countries have but that we do not. This includes THAAD systems as well as others. Such systems are not available in Europe either. It is very important that they be present in Ukraine."
Details: These systems, currently used by countries in the Middle East, would make it possible to neutralise the threat of Russian aerial bombs.
"Then the threat of Russian aerial bombs would simply not exist in Ukraine. At least within a range of 200 km, we would definitely eliminate this threat," Zelenskyy said.
Background:
- Earlier, Zelenskyy stressed the need to prepare for a possible halt in US weapons supplies.
- He also invited a US negotiating delegation to Kyiv.
