Number of ground drone missions on battlefield rose to 9,000 in March – Ukraine's Defence Ministry

Ukraine's defence forces are increasing the number of missions carried out by ground robotic systems. In March, the systems completed 9,000 combat and logistical tasks.

Details: In total, ground robotic systems carried out about 21,500 tasks during the first three months of 2026.
The Defence Ministry also published the top five units in March by total points received in the DELTA system for ground robotic system missions:
- 3rd Separate Assault Brigade – over 1,850 points
- 1st Separate Medical Battalion – over 1,440 points
- UAV systems battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade – over 1,400 points
- 95th Polissia Separate Air Assault Brigade – over 1,350 points
- 3rd Spartan Operational Brigade – over 1,300 points.
The ministry added that 167 Ukrainian units used ground robotic systems in March, compared with 67 units in November 2025.
Background:
- Ukraine has codified the Bizon-L universal robotic platform developed by UAV TECHNOLOGY and equipped with the Droid Box control system from DevDroid.
- Ukrainian company Roboneers has presented the Rys MAX unmanned ground system for casualty evacuation and logistics in hard-to-reach areas, which has already evacuated a wounded soldier over a distance of 24 km under FPV drone threat.
