The Kremlin has said that although the trilateral negotiation process on resolving the war in Ukraine is currently on hold, Russia continues to exchange information with the United States.

Details: Peskov stated that the talks involving the three countries are currently suspended.

"The Americans have many other matters to deal with, for understandable reasons. Because of this, it is currently difficult to convene in a trilateral format," he told journalists.

Peskov noted that the Ukrainians are continuing their dialogue with the Americans despite this.

"We also continue to exchange information with the Americans through the channels available to us," he added.

He was asked whether a possible visit to Kyiv by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and American businessman Jared Kushner could reinvigorate the negotiation process, and whether the Kremlin is aware of preparations for them to visit after Orthodox Easter, which falls on 12 April this year.

"We have no reliable information that it [the visit] is being planned," Peskov said.
