Part of a missile was discovered in a garden in the village of Jarosławiec in Lublin Voivodeship in Poland on 10 April.

Details: The Military Gendarmerie has issued a statement on the measures being carried out in the village.

It said that "part of a missile, likely used to counter Russian drones on the night of 9-10 September 2025, has been found in a garden".

"The area has been secured. There is no threat to people's lives or health," the military added.

Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło, press officer for the Municipal Police Department in Zamość, said police received a report about the discovery of an unknown object some time after 13:00.

"We informed the Military Counterintelligence Service, the Internal Security Agency and the Military Gendarmerie. Measures are currently being taken at the scene," she explained.

Background:

  • Earlier, Polish authorities stated that about 20 Russian drones entered the country's airspace on the night of 9-10 September 2025. Some of them flew nearly 300 km deep into Polish territory from the eastern border.
