Head of Zelenskyy Office and former intelligence chief says he is not afraid to argue with Ukrainian president

Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the President's Office and former head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), has stated that he is not afraid to disagree with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and to stand by his point of view.

Quote: "I'm a general, a Hero of Ukraine. If I am certain about something, I can argue with anyone."

Details: Budanov also refuted the assumption that Zelenskyy offered him the post of the head of the President's Office because he feared the growing popularity of the head of DIU and wanted to keep him within his inner circle.

"As for administrative influence – I'm no longer the head of a service, but now I'm engaged in organising the work of everyone. So do you really think I've become weaker?" Budanov said.

When asked whether he might run for president when the time comes, the head of Zelenskyy's Office said: "That's an interesting question. Next one"
