Quote: "Twenty-nine occupiers attempted to infiltrate behind our positions by making use of a gas pipeline and adverse weather conditions."
Details: The brigade said this wasn't the first such attempt in the area – Russian forces had used the route before, despite heavy losses and the obvious risks.
Quote: "Thanks to coordinated work by reconnaissance units, UAV crews and artillery, the enemy's movement was detected and stopped in time. All identified targets were destroyed – it appears the occupiers' real aim is 'self-demilitarisation'." ["Demilitarisation" is one of Russia's purported reasons to justify its full-scale invasion of Ukraine – ed.]
Background: Earlier, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces grouping, said that Russian troops have advanced near the settlement of Myropilske in Sumy Oblast, but fighting continues near Marine and the Russians have not reached Novodmytrivka.
