Russia attacks Ukraine with Iskander missiles and 324 drones, 309 UAVs intercepted

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with three Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 324 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones since the evening of 14 April. Ukrainian air defences have destroyed or jammed 309 UAVs, although some strikes have been recorded.

Quote: "As of 07:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 309 enemy drones in the country's north, south, east and centre. Hits by ballistic missiles and 13 UAVs had been recorded at 9 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 10 locations."

Details: The missiles were launched from Russia's Rostov Oblast, while the drones came from the Russian cities of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from Hvardiiske and Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.

About 250 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

As of 07:00, the attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
