The Foxtrot crew from Ukraine's defence forces has shot down 30 Russian Shahed and Gerbera drones in a single day. The crew used Sting interceptor drones to destroy the Russian aerial assets, setting a record for the number of UAVs downed in a 24-hour period.

"The warriors have destroyed 28 Shaheds and 2 Gerberas in 24 hours. We would like to remind you that the previous record – 24 Shaheds and Gerberas – belonged to [a fighter who goes by the alias] Miguel from the 1020th regiment," Dyki Shershni explained.

The Sting is a Ukrainian-made interceptor drone developed by a group of engineers from Wild Hornets specifically to counter Russian attack UAVs such as the Shahed, making it one of the first specialised Ukrainian anti-drone systems.

Background: Ukrainska Pravda reported earlier that a Ukrainian UAV pilot had shot down two Russian Shahed loitering munitions while operating at a distance of 500 km from a launch point for interceptor drones. Dyki Shershni has also unveiled technology that enables the Sting interceptor drone to be controlled at distances of up to 2,000 km.Support Ukrainska Pravda on Patreon!
