Quote: "It is known that the attacker set fire to an apartment before going out onto the street with a weapon. He had previously been prosecuted. He lived for a long time in Donetsk Oblast and was born in Russia.

Everything that can be known about him and why he did this is now being ascertained. Every detail must be checked. Investigators are working on several lines of enquiry.

All of his electronic devices, his phone, and all connections will be examined. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Prosecutor General's Office will keep the public informed. All verified information must be provided to our people."

Details: Zelenskyy said six people were killed and 14 injured as a result of the attacker's actions.

"Sadly, this number may increase: people are still seeking medical assistance. Among the injured is a 12-year-old boy. Doctors are providing the necessary care," Zelenskyy added.

Previously: Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the death toll from the shooting in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district had risen to six, while nine injured people were hospitalised and six others received assistance at the scene, including a four-month-old baby.
