DTEK, the largest private energy company in Ukraine, will build a wind power plant with a capacity of 650 MW worth €1.2 billion, which will be one of the largest onshore wind farms in Europe.

Details: The power plant will be built in Poltava Oblast and will consist of approximately 100 wind turbines, DTEK said.

"The new wind farm will help strengthen the country's energy resilience. It will also compensate for capacity damaged by Russian attacks," the company noted.

Background: Net profit of D.Trading, a division of the DTEK energy holding, reached UAH 5.89 billion (US$133 million) last year.
