President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has spoken out about Ukraine's shortage of air defence systems and missiles, warning that interceptor missiles could run out in any given week depending on the intensity of Russia's attacks.

Quote: "When we speak about how much we need or is it enough… it [air defence missiles – ed.] can end any week. It depends on [whether it's a] massive attack or not so massive. But we don't have a big package and number. It comes, you know – it's always on the way."

Details: Zelenskyy said the quest for more air defence systems is one of the main reasons for his constant travel and talks.

He stressed that Ukraine needs systems like the Patriot as protection against ballistic strikes.

He also said Ukraine already has effective solutions for countering drones.

Quote: "We have everything [we need] to destroy Shahed drones etc. We have everything we created during this war. But we don't have anti-ballistic systems… We will be able to do it – we will produce [them]. We will do it by ourselves or with some of the Europeans."

More details: Zelenskyy added that Ukraine has already taken certain decisions together with its partners, but he cannot disclose the details. He reiterated that the measures agreed so far are still not enough and that Ukraine needs more air defence systems.

More details: Zelenskyy also emphasised again that Ukraine is willing to share its experience with its partners.
