A man has been killed due to a drone strike near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

Details: The IAEA said it had been informed about the incident by the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

The UAV strike hit a transport workshop near the plant's premises, killing a driver. Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, stressed that strikes on or near nuclear power plants can pose a threat to nuclear safety and must not occur.

Background:
- On the night of 25-26 April, Russia attacked Ukraine with 94 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas strike UAVs, as well as other types of drones. Ukrainian air defences downed 74 of these drones, although hits were recorded, the Air Force reported.
- On Monday morning, Russia continued drone attacks on Ukraine.
