Russia attacked Ukraine with 210 drones on the night of 30 April-1 May. Air defences have managed to down 190 of the drones, although strikes have been recorded at 14 locations.

Details: Since 17:45 on 30 April, the Russians have deployed Shahed (including some jet-powered), Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones.

The drones were launched from the Russian cities of Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea and from occupied Donetsk.

Around 140 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

Quote: "As of 08:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 190 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by 20 UAVs had been recorded at 14 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 10 locations."

Background: Russian drones hit two high-rise residential buildings in the city of Odesa on the night of 30 April-1 May, causing fires and injuring two people.
