European leaders hold meeting with Zelenskyy on sidelines of summit in Yerevan

European Council President António Costa has said that leaders met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in the Armenian capital Yerevan.

Details: According to Costa, the meeting on the sidelines of the summit was jointly hosted by Emmanuel Macron and Keir Starmer to take stock of ongoing work regarding Ukraine.

"We will continue to support all efforts towards a just and sustainable peace, including by stepping up our pressure on Russia," the European Council president wrote.

"Ukraine's future is in the EU. We will keep working together towards this goal," he added.

• Earlier, Zelenskyy met with Finnish PM Petteri Orpo during his visit to Armenia.
• He also held a meeting with Norwegian PM Jonas Gahr Støre.
