Russian forces conducted a missile strike on the town of Merefa in Kharkiv Oblast on the morning of 4 May, killing four people and injuring 16 others.

Details: According to Syniehubov, three people were killed in the attack, and eight others are currently known to have been injured. They are receiving medical assistance.

"The fire has already been extinguished. We are recording damage to houses and apartment buildings, four shops and a car service station. Emergency crews and all relevant services are continuing to work at the site of the strike," he added.

Update: Later, Syniehubov reported that the death toll from the Russian attack on Merefa had risen to four. Two men aged 50 and 63 and two women aged 41 and 52 were killed.

A total of 16 people were injured, and all are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

The Russians also attacked the settlement of Bezliudivka with UAVs. Early reports indicate that strikes were recorded in a district where residential buildings are located.

"At present, no information about casualties has been reported," said Syniehubov.

Background: Earlier on 4 May, Russian forces attacked a bread delivery van with a drone in the Chuhuiv district of Kharkiv Oblast, injuring two men.
