Electricity consumption is showing a downward trend. As of 09:30 on 4 May, consumption was 14.7% lower than at the same time on the previous working day, Friday.

According to Ukrenergo, the decrease is due to higher air temperatures across Ukraine, reducing the use of electric heaters. In addition, clear weather in all regions is boosting the efficiency of household solar power plants, further lowering demand from the national grid.

Given the weather conditions, energy providers advise shifting active electricity use to daytime hours – between 10:00 and 16:00.

"In the evening, there remains a need for economical electricity consumption. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances between 18:00 and 22:00," Ukrenergo said.

Background: As of the morning of 1 May, some consumers in Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts were temporarily left without electricity due to attacks on energy infrastructure.
