Details: Since 2023, the Narva Museum has been displaying posters on its walls labelling Putin a war criminal.
Last year, the poster featured the so-called Putler image – a portrait merging Putin and Hitler into a single figure.
"The poster will be displayed on the flag tower of Narva Castle on May 9, Europe Day, as a reminder of the war that is currently ongoing and of Russia's war crimes against the Ukrainian people," said Narva Museum Director Maria Smorževskihh-Smirnova.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna welcomed the initiative.
"Putler returns. On 9 May, Narva Museum in Estonia will once again display a poster calling Vladimir Putin what he is – a war criminal," he wrote on X (Twitter).
Background:
- Earlier reports said Berlin plans to ban Soviet, Russian and Belarusian flags on 8-9 May.
- Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is expected to visit Moscow on 9 May and meet Putin, though he will not attend the Victory Day military parade.
