Police remove warhead of Geran-2 drone in Kyiv forest belt – video

Police have removed the warhead of a Russian UAV discovered in a forest belt in Kyiv's Desnianskyi district.

Details: The drone launched by the Russians against the capital was discovered the previous day by a Kyiv resident while walking on the outskirts of a forest.

Patrol officers immediately arrived at the scene following the man's call and cordoned off the area where the UAV debris with a warhead was located.

An investigative team from the territorial police unit documented another crime of the Russian Federation, while explosives experts from the capital's police rendered the munition safe and then removed it for further controlled destruction at a specialised site.

Early reports indicate that the recovered debris belongs to a Geran-2 type unmanned aerial vehicle launched by Russia during a combined attack on Ukraine.
