• Earlier on 6 May, Russian forces attacked a civilian car in Sumy Oblast with a drone, killing a passenger.
• On 5 May, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Sumy, causing fires in residential areas and civilian infrastructure facilities. First responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were working simultaneously at three locations. Early reports indicated two people had been injured.
