Man blown up by Russian mine in Sumy Oblast

A man has been killed after stepping on a Russian mine in the Velyka Pysarivka hromada in Sumy Oblast. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Quote: "A 69-year-old man was blown up by an enemy mine in the Velyka Pysarivka hromada. He stepped on it near his garden. The Russians likely dropped the mine from a drone. The man sustained critical injuries and died at the scene."

Background: On 6 May, Russian forces attacked a kindergarten in central Sumy with loitering munitions. A security guard at the facility was killed and two other people were injured.
