Ukrainian Radical Party leader Liashko becomes commander of UAV regiment – Ukrainska Pravda

Oleh Liashko, former Ukrainian MP and the Radical Party's leader, has been appointed commander of the 432nd Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment of the 11th Army Corps of Operational Command Skhid (East).

Details: According to the sources, on 6 May, by decision of the command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Senior Lieutenant Oleh Liashko was relieved of his post as commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd Separate Mechanised Brigade of the 3rd Army Corps of Operational Command East, a post with the staff category of lieutenant colonel.

Liashko was appointed commander of the 432nd Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment of the 11th Army Corps of Operational Command East, a post with the staff category of colonel.

However, the source said this did not mean Liashko had received the military rank of colonel.

Background:

  • In late April 2026, it was reported that the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd Separate Mechanised Brigade, headed by Liashko, will be expanded into a regiment.
  • On 11 October 2024, Oleh Liashko was appointed commander of a battalion specialising in unmanned systems management within a separate mechanised brigade.
  • The Ground Forces said the appointment of Liashko, a former MP and the leader of Ukraine's Radical Party who currently serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as commander of the unmanned systems battalion of a separate mechanised brigade was due to his achievements in this field.
