Quote: "On the South Slobozhanshchyna front, we see that the enemy's relative activity is low, but the task of our units, including the National Guard's Khartiia 2nd Corps, is to maintain stability around the city of Kupiansk and further north. These are specific tasks carried out by these units on the Vovchansk front in order to prevent the enemy from improving its tactical position, expanding the grey zone and advancing.

In particular, fighters of the 23rd Assault Regiment within the Khartiia brigade carried out assault and reconnaissance operations throughout April and May, which made it possible to penetrate deep into the defensive line on the left flank of Vovchansk, mop up an enemy company strongpoint on one side, and identify positions and dugouts on the other, which our fighters also managed to clear. This, in turn, enabled our defence forces to improve their tactical position."

Details: According to Muzychuk, this was not a large-scale offensive operation but rather carefully planned local actions designed to prevent the Russians from reinforcing its groupings and preparing offensives in certain sectors of the front.

He added that Russian forces have not achieved success on the South Slobozhanshchyna front for a considerable time thanks to the timely detection of their positions and logistics routes.
