In the first wave of the attack, the aggressor is using a significant number of strike drones to overload Ukraine's air defence system and hit civilian targets.

Subsequently, Russia plans to use a significant number of air- and sea-launched cruise missiles, as well as ballistic missiles. Moscow's targets are critical infrastructure facilities and basic services in major cities, including energy infrastructure, defence industry companies and government buildings."

Details: DIU said Russia, having rejected ceasefire proposals, is once again attempting to undermine Ukraine's resilience in the war for freedom.

The intelligence agency urged citizens to respond to air-raid warnings and, as always in such cases, seek shelter.

Background: Following overnight Russian attacks, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Moscow is continuing to launch large numbers of drones towards Ukraine from southern and northern directions on Wednesday 13 May.
