Ukraine's Special Operations Forces strike Russian oil terminal facilities in Black Sea near Taman Peninsula

Unmanned systems of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) struck the loading pier of the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal on the Black Sea coast of Russia's Krasnodar Krai on the night of 12-13 May.

Details: The special forces note that the transshipment complex, located in the village of Volna on the Taman Peninsula more than 300 kilometres from the line of contact, enables the Russians to transport energy resources and further export them via the Black, Azov and Mediterranean seas.

The oil terminal can simultaneously handle up to four vessels. The facility ensures a continuous logistics cycle from rail transport to maritime shipping.

Moreover, in a joint operation with the Unmanned Systems Forces and other branches of the Ukrainian defence forces, SOF Deep Strike units struck the port of Taman and the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal, which is intended for storage and subsequent transshipment of oil and gas products onto maritime transport.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a fire was recorded at the Russian facility. The extent of the damage is being ascertained.
