Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 294 drones on the night of 15-16 May. Ukrainian air defences have destroyed or jammed 269 UAVs.

Details: Ukrainian air defence forces have destroyed or jammed 269 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy drones in the country's north, south, centre and east.

Hits by 20 UAVs have been recorded at 15 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 9 locations.

As of the morning, the attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.

Background: Russian forces launched strikes on critical and residential infrastructure facilities in the Izmail district in Odesa Oblast on the night of 15-16 May, leaving several people injured.
