Another Naftogaz employee who was injured in the Russian attack on Poltava Oblast on 5 May has died in hospital.

Details: Naftogaz reported that 59-year-old Serhii Klymenko, a refrigeration unit operator at the company, has died in hospital. He sustained severe injuries on the night of 4-5 May in Poltava Oblast, when Russian forces deliberately struck rescue workers from the State Emergency Service and Naftogaz employees.

It is noted that Klymenko underwent multiple surgeries, but his injuries proved fatal.

Following his death, the number of Naftogaz employees killed in the attack has risen to four. Seven other company employees remain in hospital.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have killed 324 employees of the Naftogaz Group.

Background: Earlier, Naftogaz reported that on the night of 4-5 May, a Russian attack on Naftogaz facilities in Poltava and Kharkiv oblasts killed three employees of Naftogaz and two State Emergency Service rescue workers, while 37 people were injured.
