Two killed and over 20 civilians injured in Russian attacks on Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts

Twenty-three civilians were injured and two killed in Russian attacks on Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts on 16 May.

Details: In Kherson Oblast, two people were killed as a result of Russian attacks. One of them, a 22-year-old woman, died in hospital on Sunday morning.

Another 16 people were injured, including one child.

The administration added that Russian forces struck residential areas across the oblast, damaging eight apartment buildings and 15 houses.

Russian attacks also damaged an invincibility centre, a car service station, a petrol station, a minibus and vehicles. [Invincibility centres are heated premises stocked with food and power banks to assist residents facing hardships due to power cuts – ed.]

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, seven people were reported injured in the city of Zaporizhzhia and in the district, as well as in the Polohy district.
