Zelenskyy thanks Security Service of Ukraine and defence forces for strikes on Moscow

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has thanked the Security Service of Ukraine and the defence forces for their precision strikes on Moscow Oblast.

Quote: "Our responses to Russia's prolongation of the war and its attacks on our cities and communities are entirely justified. This time, Ukrainian long-range sanctions [drones – ed.] reached the Moscow region, and we are clearly telling the Russians: their state must end its war.

Ukrainian drone and missile manufacturers continue their work. I am grateful to the Security Service of Ukraine and all the defence forces of Ukraine for their precision. The distance from Ukraine's state border is over 500 km."

Details: The president stressed that the concentration of Russian air defence systems in the Moscow region is the highest but noted that Ukrainian defenders are overcoming them.

Background: Russia's Defence Ministry claimed that 586 Ukrainian drones attacked Russian territory, about 130 of which were heading towards Moscow.
