Quote: "In recent months, we have significantly accelerated the pace and doubled the speed of construction of anti-drone road protection. Compared to 2025, the pace has increased from 4 to 8.5 km per day. Between February and April alone, 430 km of anti-drone protection was installed and 106 km of road were repaired. In total, more than 1,170 km of logistics routes have already been protected."
Details: Fedorov said the State Special Transport Service, acting on instructions from the Ministry of Defence, is scaling up anti-drone protection in frontline oblasts because Russian forces are making extensive use of FPV drones to attack vehicles and logistics routes near the line of contact.
Quote: "Such solutions ensure resilient logistics, rapid delivery of resources, and safe evacuation of the wounded even under enemy fire."

More details: Work is also ongoing to repair roads in five frontline oblasts. Fedorov said more than 60 km of road have been repaired, including three completed sections on the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv fronts.
Quote: "In modern war, logistics determine the resilience of the front. Protected logistics mean lives saved."
Background:
- Fedorov reported earlier that since the beginning of 2026, 371 km of road had been equipped with drone nets on logistics routes in frontline oblasts, specifically in Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts.
- It was reported earlier that Ukraine plans to install anti-drone protection along 4,000 km of road by the end of the year. An additional UAH 1.6 billion (about US$37 million) has been allocated from the state budget for anti-drone netting.
- A draft bill has also been presented in the Italian Senate on establishing a state mechanism for donating discarded fishing nets to help protect Ukrainian cities from Russian drones.
