Russia strikes Naftogaz energy infrastructure facilities with missiles and drones

Russia has conducted another large-scale attack on oil and gas infrastructure facilities belonging to the Naftogaz Group, a Ukrainian state-run oil and gas company.

Quote: "A drone attack has been ongoing almost continuously yesterday and today and just recently there was a strike involving three ballistic missiles on facilities in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Details: The attack caused damage and destruction. The company said the full extent of the damage will be assessed once the all-clear is given.

Infrastructure facilities belonging to Naftogaz were hit in a large-scale ballistic missile attack on Poltava Oblast last week.

Background: Russia attacked Naftogaz infrastructure facilities in two Ukrainian oblasts on 13 May. A Russian drone damaged a gas production facility in Kharkiv Oblast. A business was also hit in Zhytomyr Oblast.
