Quote from Zelenskyy: "We discussed preparations for the NB8 format with Ukraine, which will take place in Estonia – we hope it will be truly productive."
Details: Zelenskyy thanked Estonia for the support provided from the very first days of the full-scale invasion and briefed Michal on the frontline situation.
"I am grateful for his kind words about our warriors. Ukraine's position on the battlefield is now indeed stronger than in previous years. We also discussed diplomatic and security prospects. We agreed to continue working substantively on all issues, including security-related ones," Zelenskyy noted.
The conversation with Michal took place two days after a Romanian fighter jet shot down a stray Ukrainian drone in Estonian airspace. An air-raid warning was issued in part of the country due to the UAV. This is the first time such a drone has been shot down over Estonian territory.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has apologised to Estonia for the "unintended incidents" involving drones.
Meanwhile, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said after the incident that Ukraine has every right to attack targets on Russian territory.
