Zelenskyy confirms strike on chemical plant in Russia 1,700 km from border – video

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has thanked the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) for striking one of Russia's key military-related plants in Perm Krai.

Details: Zelenskyy pointed out that the facility is located 1,700 km from the Russia-Ukraine border.

Quote: "Metafrax Chemicals is an important part of Russia's chemical industry. The company's products supply dozens of other Russian military production facilities, including aircraft and drones, missile engines, and explosives. The production process at the facility has now been halted. This is an important long-range sanction of ours."

Background: It was reported earlier that a Ukrainian drone attack was carried out on an industrial facility in Russia's Perm Krai on 23 May.
