The number of people injured in the latest Russian attack on Kyiv has risen to 81, including three children, and two people have been killed.

Background:

  • On the night of 23-24 May, Russian forces carried out a large-scale combined strike on Ukraine using 90 missiles and 600 drones of various types, including an Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile.
  • President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that four people had been killed and around 100 injured across Ukraine as a result of the attack, with approximately 30 residential buildings damaged or destroyed in Kyiv alone.
  • Earlier reports indicate that two people had been killed and 77 injured in Kyiv.
