Quote: "The key issues were war and peace, European integration, parliament and parliamentarism as an institution. Democracy was also discussed. Poroshenko asked for nothing… He spoke in general terms, as a statesman and political leader, about the need for democracy and respect for the institution of the presidency. I think I have answered all your questions between the lines."

More details: Herashchenko added that some details of the meeting will remain private because of prior agreements.

Quote: "We always honour agreements with Bankova Street. My colleagues in parliament will also confirm this: we had an agreement that certain details of this meeting would remain off the record. But the key focus of the meeting – which by the way went on for nearly two hours, unlike the meetings with Holos, Batkivshchyna or Boiko – was on discussing issues that are strategic for the country." Background: Zelenskyy held a series of separate meetings on 26 May with leaders of the various factions and groups in the Ukrainian parliament, rather than a single large meeting as had been expected. It has been announced that these meetings will be held regularly from now on and that "the dialogue will become permanent".
